Line of research
The IGIC Ecology research group focuses on the study and modelling of the distribution of flora and fauna and their application to the conservation and management of biological resources. Bio-logging tools, genetic analysis and ecological modelling and analysis tools are used for this purpose. There are two main lines of work focused on the management of river habitats and the conservation of marine fauna, in particular, cetaceans and sea turtles.
