Main research line
A multidisciplinary team of experts in telecommunications, computer science, electronics, environmental sciences and biology.
The main objective of this line is to analyse, design and develop any type of complex communication system for monitoring and sensing different environments in coastal and underwater areas. It also includes aspects related to remote sensing through sensors, sensor networks, image processing, or remote sensing techniques applied to the terrestrial and marine environment.
The line aims to contribute to the research and development of wired and wireless technology in underwater and near-sea terrestrial areas. It also aims to develop low-cost sensors for monitoring aquatic and terrestrial environments, especially in precision agriculture.
